Overview
RoboMiri ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the MyBenAI app and mybenai.com website collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information.
The core principle of MyBenAI is privacy by design: Your data is your data. The app runs entirely on your device. Your conversations, documents, preferences, and generated content are stored locally and never sent to our servers or any third party.
MyBenAI App Privacy
Data Stored On Your Device
MyBenAI stores the following data exclusively on your device:
- Chat conversations and messages
- Voice recordings (STT input)
- Images you analyze or generate
- Documents and files you upload for RAG
- Your preferences and settings
- Long-term memory and notes
- Downloaded AI model weights
- Local vector search indexes
This data is never sent to RoboMiri, any cloud service, or any third party unless you explicitly enable a feature that requires network access (e.g., web search).
Optional: Anonymous Crash & Error Diagnostics
To help us fix bugs and improve stability, MyBenAI may send anonymous crash reports and error logs when the app encounters a problem. These reports:
- Contain no conversation data, images, documents, or personal content
- Include only technical information: stack traces, device model, OS version, RAM available, error messages
- Can be disabled in settings
- Are sent via HTTPS to our error tracking service [TODO: name actual service]
Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving product stability and user experience.
Optional: Web Search
If you enable web search within the app, MyBenAI makes network requests to search engines on your behalf. These requests:
- Are made only when you initiate a web search
- Include your search query and basic device info

- Stay within the app and are not shared further
You can disable web search or toggle offline mode to prevent any network requests.
Offline Mode
Toggle offline mode to disable all networking instantly. In offline mode, any tool or feature requiring internet will report itself unavailable to the AI. All processing stays on-device.
Payment & Purchases
MyBenAI is distributed via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Payment is handled by the respective app store, not by RoboMiri. Your payment and account information are governed by:
RoboMiri does not store or process your payment details.
Data Retention
All data stored on your device is retained as long as it remains on your device. You can delete data at any time by removing the app, clearing app data in settings, or deleting individual conversations and files within the app. Once deleted, data cannot be recovered.
Data Minimization
We are committed to collecting only the data necessary to provide the app's core features. We do not collect:
- Advertising identifiers
- Location data
- Behavioral tracking or analytics
- Biometric data
- Your contacts or calendar
Website Privacy (mybenai.com)
No Third-Party Trackers
The mybenai.com website loads no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts. We do not use:
- Google Analytics or similar tracking tools
- Ad networks or advertising pixels
- Social media tracking pixels
- CDN-hosted fonts or resources from external domains
All CSS, JavaScript, and assets are self-hosted.
Server Logs
Our web server keeps standard HTTP access logs containing:
- Your IP address
- Pages visited and timestamps
- Referring URL and user agent (browser type)
These logs are retained for up to 30 days for security and debugging purposes and are not shared with third parties. They are not used for tracking or profiling.
Cookies
The mybenai.com website does not set or require cookies.
Contact Forms & Emails
If you contact us via email (info@robomiri.com or privacy@robomiri.com), we will use your email address solely to respond to your inquiry. We will not add you to a mailing list or share your email with third parties without your explicit consent.
Data Practices & Security
Encryption
Data stored on your device is protected by your device's built-in security features and the file system permissions. All network communication (app updates, crash reports, optional web search) uses HTTPS encryption.
Data Transfers
When you enable optional features like web search, data leaves your device only to the external services you explicitly invoke (e.g., search engines). We do not transfer your personal data across borders without appropriate safeguards. For EU residents, international transfers are governed by Standard Contractual Clauses or other GDPR-compliant mechanisms.
No Profiling or Automated Decision-Making
We do not build profiles of you based on your usage or create automated decisions that significantly affect you. The AI learns your preferences only within the app, on your device.
Data Breaches
In the unlikely event of a data breach involving servers we control (not app stores or third-party services), we will notify affected individuals within the timeframe required by applicable law and take steps to remediate the breach.

If you reside in the EU, you have the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation:
Right of Access
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to Rectification
You have the right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Right to Erasure
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal obligations. For MyBenAI, your data is on your device—you can erase it by uninstalling the app or clearing app data.
Right to Restrict Processing
You have the right to restrict how your data is processed.
Right to Data Portability
You have the right to receive your data in a machine-readable format and transmit it to another controller.
Right to Object
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data. For example, you can disable crash reporting or offline mode.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe we have violated your rights, you may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) at www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
