Scheduled Jobs: Run a Prompt Without Being There

Daily, weekly or every N minutes — a morning briefing, a weekly digest of a folder, a recurring summary. Jobs the OS never woke are caught up and marked as late.

A job is a prompt that runs on a schedule without you being there. Daily at a time, weekly on a day, or every N minutes.

What people actually schedule

A morning briefing assembled from the calendar and weather. A weekly digest of a document folder. A recurring check of a page that matters to you. A daily journalling prompt. Anything you would otherwise remember to ask and then not remember.

Creating one

From the jobs screen, or by asking — scheduling is itself a tool, so "summarise my calendar every weekday at 7" creates the job. Every job lists its schedule, its last run and its output history.

Honest about what a phone can promise

This is the part most scheduling features gloss over. A phone's operating system decides when background work is allowed to run, and it will sometimes decide "not now" — for hours. MyBenAI does not pretend otherwise. Jobs the OS never woke are caught up the next time you open the app and are marked as late, rather than being silently skipped or silently backdated. You can see that a job did not run on time, which matters if you were relying on it.

Under the power budget

Jobs go through BatteryGuard like everything else. A job that would have run while the phone is at 12% and warm does not run; it waits. Overnight while charging is when scheduled work happens most reliably, which is also when you would want it to.
