Long-Term Memory You Approve and Can Edit

Facts are saved only when you confirm them, and every one is listed, editable and deletable. You can always see exactly what the assistant thinks it knows about you.

Memory is the assistant keeping a small set of facts about you between conversations. In MyBenAI every one of them is something you approved, and all of them are visible, editable and deletable.

How a fact gets in

The model can propose remembering something, and you confirm it. That confirmation step is the whole design: a memory system that silently accumulates inferences about you is a system nobody can audit, and an assistant that has quietly decided something wrong about you is worse than one that knows nothing.

How a fact comes back

Memories are embedded and retrieved by relevance, so the model recalls what bears on the current question rather than having every fact about you pushed into its context. On a phone-sized context window that is not a nicety — it is the difference between memory being useful and memory crowding out the conversation.

The list

Every memory is shown, in plain language, with edit and delete next to it. You can always answer the question "what does this thing think it knows about me?" by looking, which is more than can be said for most assistants that offer memory.

Memory is not history

Memory is a handful of durable facts. Your conversations are separate, complete, and searchable with full-text search; your reference material lives in documents. Clearing memories does not touch either, and deleting a conversation does not disturb a memory. All three live only on the phone — see where your data lives.
